The Teranga Cubs came from behind to score two late goals in a 2-1 win over Morocco on Friday night at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
With the victory, Senegal clinched its first-ever U-17 AFCON title to continue what has been an incredible dominance for the West African nation.
Senegal vs Morocco - Match in brief
The Atlas Lions started on a strong note and took an early lead in the first half when their captain Abdelmahid Ait Boudlal scored the game’s opener in the 14th minute.
It was the first goal Senegal had conceded in the competition in Algeria and it almost cost them the title.
