The winger, who can also play at full-back, has penned a new deal at Ingwe after impressing last season.

AFC Leopards winger Ronald Sichenje Bebeto has signed a new two-year contract at the club.

The utility player joined Leopards in 2022 but could not feature in his first season as Ingwe were still serving a transfer ban.

He was subsequently loaned to Mathare United for six-months but returned last season to play an integral part as the club managed a fifth-place finish.

Sichenje made 18 appearances in 2023-24, being deployed as a winger and full-back, and is looking forward to more challenging roles in future.

“I am grateful to be part of the club and I always feel at home that’s why I renewed my contract, and I am happy I made that decision. My target is to have more minutes of playing time and be the best version of myself. I am also looking forward to scoring goals and assists,” he said, as per the club’s website.

“The first two years at AFC Leopards have been impeccable. Though in every situation, we always have ups and downs. I didn’t feature for the club in my first season because of a registration hitch, but I was cleared in the second season.”

”It was a nice experience being deployed in an unfamiliar fullback position in a few matches. Regardless of the position, I will fight for any position given to me by the coach. Any time given to me will be a great opportunity to prove my worth in the team,” the versatile player added.

The Aspire Academy star was among Leopards players who resumed training ahead of the new season on Monday.

Leopards had a challenging start to their 2023-24 campaign when they hovered around the relegation zone before a good run at the turn of the year moved them up the table.

They also made some key signings in midseason such as the capture of defender Kennedy Owino and striker Arthur Gitego and fans expect in injection of fresh blood once again before they kick off in 2024-25.
