Controversial message from Peter Thiong'o raises questions about his departure from AFC Leopards four months ago.

Posta Rangers defender-cum-winger Peter Thiong'o has sent a chilling message that appears to be a veiled dig at his former club AFC Leopards.

Thiong'o, who once served as an assistant captain at AFC Leopards, parted ways with the club back in August, and the wounds from that separation seem far from healed.

The defender's contract was not renewed by the club, citing alleged leadership issues, and now, four months later, he has taken to social media to express his sentiments.

"People can destroy your image, damage your personality, and create rumors about you, but they can't take away your good deeds. Because no matter how they describe you, you will always be admired by those who know you best," Thiong'o posted on his Facebook page, leaving fans and pundits speculating about the hidden message behind his words.

Thiong'o's departure from AFC Leopards was marred by controversy, with reports suggesting that he might have influenced other players not to attend training sessions in an attempt to secure their due payments before their potential departure.

However, since joining Posta Rangers at the start of the season, Thiong'o has been a standout performer for his new club.

Posta Rangers currently sit comfortably at the top of the Premier League table, while AFC Leopards languish in the 15th position, facing a challenging season ahead.

Thiong'o's journey through Kenyan football has been nothing short of dynamic.

He began his career with St Joseph's FC in the National Super League before making a move to Kakamega Homeboyz in 2018.

It was from there that he secured a transfer to AFC Leopards in November 2020, marking a significant step in his professional career.

The rift between Thiong'o and AFC Leopards is not the first instance of player discontent and internal strife to plague the club.

In recent years, the team has faced numerous challenges, both on and off the pitch, including financial struggles and issues with player contracts.
