AFC Leopards has given a breakdown of how the club spent the over Ksh7.3 million generated from the Mashemeji Derby last Sunday.
Leopards hosted bitter rivals Gor Mahia in the 96th edition of the Mashemeji Derby and the game ended goalless at a sold-out Nyayo Stadium.
Now, the club has provided the official figures of the millions generated from the match and how part of it was spent.
Ingwe generated a total of Ksh7,396,600 from the match; being the sale of 20,124 tickets as well as parking charges of 252 slots.

AFC Leopards boss reveals strategy used to fill up Nyayo Stadium for Mashemeji Derby
AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has shared how the club managed to fill up Nyayo Stadium for the Mashemeji Derby that ended goalless against Gor Mahia.
From the sale of tickets, 54 VVIP tickets, each going for Ksh5,000, generated Ksh270,000, VIP tickets going for Ksh1,000 each had 1,578 sold, bringing Ksh1,578,000, while 18,240 terrace tickets were snapped up at Ksh300 each for Ksh5,472,000 for the club.

An extra Ksh75,600 was generated from 252 parking slots with charges being Ksh300 each.
From the amount, Leopards paid Ksh1,098,000 to Sports Kenya, being 15 percent of the gate collection, an amount that has raised eyebrows amongst Ingwe supporters, given Ksh116,000 was paid to the very state agency as stadium hire fee.
There was Ksh369,780 that went to Tikiti, the online ticket management platform that was used to purchase tickets from, being five percent of the total amount, while security gobbled Ksh495,000.

That left Leopards with a surplus of Ksh4,583,760 from the match.
It was the biggest revenue generated from gate collections for Leopards this season, coming after the club had raised Ksh1,454,300 from their league match against Shabana in Machakos just before the international break.
