AFC Leopards fans have raised concerns following the arrest of a supporter who was apprehended over claims of cyber bullying towards a member of the club’s executive

A section of AFC Leopards fans have expressed their displeasure at the arrest of one of them over claims of cyber bullying towards a member of the club’s executive.

Leopards fan popularly known as Sitawa Neddy Nachikha was a guest of the state on Tuesday when she was taken in for questioning before later being released.

The supporter has been an outspoken critic of the Dan Shikanda-led executive, calling out the club hierarchy over what she termed ‘poor leadership’ on numerous occasions on both social media and in the stadium.

This landed her in trouble when she was apprehended over claims of cyber bullying towards a senior member of the club’s executive, an incident that has been condemned by fans on social media.

Leopards supporters had trained their guns on Shikanda in the wake of the club’s poor start to this season when Ingwe spent most of the first leg of the campaign around the relegation zone.

However, Tomas Trucha’s men have seen a revival in 2024, winning four straight league games, which have lifted them to 10th on the standings and there is now hope that the warring factions can start reading from the same script for the good of the club.

“We have a meeting on the way forward, we want to sit and agree,” Leopards executive branch secretary general Hosea Kisienya told Pulse Sports.

“We want to find a middle ground between fans and the executive. There was tension before when results were not good but now, things are better and I feel it is something small which can easily be solved.”

Ingwe have some of the most loyal and also demanding supporters who started calling for changes as early as the third game of the season which saw club legend Tom Juma sacked after just six games in charge before Trucha was installed.

Leopards take on struggling Murang’a Seal this weekend with hopes that a fifth straight victory will be secured.
