Ingwe could not sustain Posta Rangers second half pressure as they were forced into a 1-1 draw

Kayci Odhiambo's first minute goal could not secure all points for AFC Leopards as they drew 1-1 with Posta Rangers in an FKF Premier League match on Saturday.

In what would have been Leopards' second win of the season, Odhiambo rose high to head home Cliffton Miheso's corner as Ingwe got a rare early goal.

The goal settled the nerves for Tomas Trucha's men and saw them put up a spirited display.

Leopards would come close 20 minutes later when Victor Otieno drew a good save from Posta Rangers goalkeeper John Njau.

Miheso dribbled his way past his marker before teeing up Otieno and the forward fired from the near post before Njau saved it with his outstretched leg.

Boniface Munyendo then met a loose ball on the edge of the box but fired over the bar before Miheso did the same four minutes to the break.

Leopards goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi had started quickly with a counter-attack but Miheso failed to connect well on his left foot.

Leopards stayed resolute at the back, denying Posta Rangers opportunities until the second half when the Mailmen started testing Katasi.

Jackson Macharia tested Katasi from range with the keeper spilling the effort before he puched out a free-kick.

Leopards had a great opportunity to make it 2-0 when Victor Omune weaved his way into the Rangers' box but fired directly at Njau.

Posta Rangers' pressure, however, paid off in the 68th minute when they went level.

A free-kick was floated in the Leopards box by Brian Otieno which Ingwe failed to deal with and Brian Marita easily tapped in the loose ball to make it 1-1.

The draw leaves Posta Rangers top of the table with 22 points while Ingwe are 15th with nine.
