Ingwe's coach Thomas Trucha is planning early signings to boost AFC Leopards for the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.

AFC Leopards head coach Thomas Trucha has shared his strategic vision for the upcoming 2024/25 FKF Premier League season, outlining a bold plan to strengthen the team through early signings.

Following a fifth-place finish in the previous season, which saw their rivals Gor Mahia take the championship, Trucha is keen on reshaping the squad to better compete for the title.

In an interview, Trucha disclosed that he has identified four key players to bring into the squad.

"I have been scouting and have given management the list of players I want to sign. If our budget allows, they will sign them; otherwise, we will make do with the players we have and aim for third, fourth, or fifth place. However, fans may not be happy with that," Trucha explained.

His transparent communication reflects an understanding of the fans' high expectations and a pragmatic approach to the club’s financial realities.

Trucha also stressed the importance of securing these players early to ensure they are well-integrated during the pre-season.

"But if management signs the players I want, we will compete for the league title," he affirmed.

The urgency expressed by Trucha is a response not only to the competitive nature of the league but also to the demanding fan base of AFC Leopards.

Known for their impatience and high expectations, Ingwe’s supporters have endured a 25-year drought since their last league title.

Despite the historical challenges and stronger squads fielded by rivals like Gor Mahia, Tusker, and Kenya Police, the fans continue to dream of league glory.
