FUFA recently ordered the match between Busia United and Mbale Heroes to be replayed after punching holes in the Eastern Regional Competitions Disciplinary Panel (CDP)’s ruling.

The drama in the Eastern Regional League, Bukedi Group involving Admin FC and Mbale Heroes is not about to end.

FUFA recently ordered the match between Busia United and Mbale Heroes to be replayed after punching holes in the Eastern Regional Competitions Disciplinary Panel (CDP)’s ruling.

According to the official report, match no.54 ended prematurely in the 86th minute due to crowd trouble.

The region’s CDP had awarded the match to Busia United claiming that the away fans were the trouble-causers.

However, in an interesting turn of events, the FUFA CDP found that the “Eastern Regional FA CDP did not follow the right procedure in making its decision and therefore arrived at a wrong decision”.

“… the panel decided that in the interest of fairness, the match be replayed. The decision by the Eastern Region Football Association in which Mbale Heroes FC lost the match by a forfeiture is set aside,” FUFA ruled.

“The Eastern Region Football Association is ordered to organize a full replay of Match No. 54 Busia United Vs Mbale Heroes. The replay shall be played in a closed stadium on a neutral ground outside the Bukedi Region,” the region was ordered.

The decision means that Admin, who were crowned winners and set to play Kigulu United in the FUFA Big League round one playoff, will hope for favours from Busia if they’re to proceed.

Busia ended the league with 52 points, one ahead of Heroes who need a point to qualify.
