Former Barcelona and Wolves forward Adama Traore is back to torment defenders in the Premier League after joining Nigeria's Calvin Bassey at Fulham.
Premier League side Fulham Football Club has confirmed the signing of former Barcelona winger Adama Traore.
Traore will continue to torment defenders in the league after he completed a move on a free transfer to the Craven Cottage.
Fulham announced the transfer through a statement on their website and social media as the Spain international links up with his new teammates which include Nigeria’s Calvin Bassey who also joined this summer.
“The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Adama Traoré,” Fulham said in a statement on their website.
Fulham reveal Traore as baby Oil
The 27-year-old left his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers following the expiration of his contract at the club last month.
He has since put pen to paper on a two-year contract that will see him wear the club colours until the summer of 2025, with an option to extend his stay for a further year.
The Cottagers unveiled the tricky forward with a cheeky post on social media after he signed the dotted lines.
Fulham confirmed the transfer with a picture of Johnson’s baby oil, with their new signing known for applying oil on his skin before taking to the pitch.
Troare’s brief
Traore’s move to Fulham will see him remain in England where he has represented clubs like Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wolves.
His journey in English football started when he left the famous Barcelona academy La Masia for Aston Villa before Boro came calling.
Traore then joined Wolves where announced his arrival in the Premier League before spending half of last season on loan at Barcelona.
Traoré has made eight international appearances for Spain, his first coming in a friendly match against Portugal in 2020. In 2021, Luis Enrique called upon his services for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament
Hungry Traore
Speaking after he was unveiled, the forward expressed his excitement to join Fulham while adding that he is hungry to perform for the club.
"It’s a nice opportunity for me," he told FFCtv upon his arrival in South West London. "Another chapter. I like the Club, I also have information from Raúl [Jimenéz], who seems to love the club.
"I’m excited and hungry to give 100 per cent here."
