Manchester United are having a hugely disappointing season and must make changes to move forward.
The once-great Manchester United have been dumped out of the Champions League - and Europe altogether - while their next match comes away at Premier League table-toppers Liverpool.
While some players deserve a fighting chance, several underachievers must be sold to enable manager Erik ten Hag take the club forward.
Manchester United set for January clear-out?
According to recent reports, Manchester United are open to selling at least five players in the January transfer window.
These players include Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, and Donny van de Beek.
The decision to sell these players comes after a disappointing season and the realization that they are not meeting the required standards for the club.
Some players have also suffered from injuries or have shown a decline in performance and with the current landscape, there can be no room for sentiments.
For Ten Hag to take United forward, he must make the necessary decisions, no matter how difficult they might seem.
