It has become a taboo for clubs to hire and fire coaches at will, especially if performance nosedive-even some don't even finish one year into their four or five-year contract.

The English Premier League is the most watched league in the world and boasts a staggering diversity of players and coaches, with talents hailing from over 70 countries.

Its global appeal and unpredictable nature makes it a preferred destination especially for coaches, who cut their teeth in England's top tier that was formed in 1992 as a replacement for the original Football League First Division.

It has become a taboo for clubs to hire and fire coaches at will, especially if performance nosedive-even some don't even finish one year into their four or five-year contract.

Pulse Sports takes a look at the top five managers who have coached one club for the longest time in the Premier League's 32-year history according to wikipedia.org.

Arsene Wenger (1996-2018)

Wenger was in-charge of the Gunners for 22 years and holds the record for most games managed in the Premier League with 828, all with Arsenal.

The Frenchman who oversaw Arsenal's move from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium, will always be remembered for the 'invincibles' team that won the EPL title in the 2003-04 season unbeaten.

Alex Ferguson (1992-2013)

The Scottish is regarded as the most successful manager-guiding Manchester United to 13 EPL titles in his 21-year trophy-laden spell. His decorated CV also has five FA Cup gongs, four League Cups and two UEFA Champions League trophies.

Manchester United are still waiting for their first title post the Ferguson era. The Red Devils last won the EPL in Ferguson's last season in charge in 2013.

David Moyes (2002-2013)

Moyes took charge of the Toffees in March 2002 but never won a trophy with the Merseyside club in his 11-year reign. His departure to Man United after savouring ties with Everton did not bore fruits either but guided West Ham to the Europa League Conference title in 2023.

Jurgen Klopp (2015-2024)

Hired on October 8, 2015, the German was tasked with turning around Liverpool's dwindling fortunes trophy-wise. Famed for the Gegen pressing style, Klopp won the Premier League, Champions League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and two Carabao titles. Others include the Community Shield and the UEFA Super Cup.

Klopp dropped a bombshell in January this year that he will be departing Liverpool in June and eventually he did.

Joe Kinnear (1992-1999)

Kinnear remains one of the most underrated managers in history. Despite currently playing in League Two, Wimbledon was a force to reckon with in the Premier League before its relegation.

Kinnear led Wimbledon to a top-four finish in the 1993-94 season. His departure from the club in 1999 saw the team dropping to the second tier the following year.
