St. Henry's Kitovu ended St. Marys Kitende's run of five wins on Matchday 6 at the National Secondary SChools Championships in Fort Portal.
St. Henry’s College Kitovu ended St. Marys Boarding Secondary School Kitende’s 100 percent record with a 2-1 win on Sunday in the National Secondary Schools Championship in Fort Portal.
The two schools have been on top form in Group A but Kitovu emerged the best in the top-drawer affair despite playing the better part of the game with a man less following an early red card.
Lawrence Walakarira opened the scoring after 18 minutes of play but Hakim Mutebi levelled matters in the 55th.
The determined Kitovu pushed harder, with Alfred Ejoyi settling the match in the dying minutes of the game to send the team top of the table.
Elsewhere, Buddo SS struggled to scrape a point in a 1-all draw against Blessed Sacrament Kimanya as AMus College beat Dynamic SS 2-0 in the other game in Group E.
In G and H, Jinja Progressive overcame Andy Mwesigwa 2-1 as Kibuli saw off Mulusa Academy 2-10, respectively.
