The Bundesliga champions lie second after their defeat before the international break.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reportedly sacked Julian Nagelsmann.
The Bavarians are said to be lining up former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel – a Champions League winner with Chelsea – as the next boss.
Nagelsmann came under heavy criticism and pressure when Bayern were defeated 2-1 by Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga before the international break.
Dortmund, on the other hand, defeated FC Koln 6-1 to knock the Allianz Arena outfit out of the Bundesliga summit.
After the international break, Bayern will host Dortmund in Der Klassiker, and should the former get beaten, they will slip four points behind Edin Terzic's boys.
More crucial fixtures lie ahead for Bayern as they will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final. The winner of this fixture will face either Chelsea or Real Madrid in the last four.
The Bavarians have won the last 10 Bundesliga titles in a row, and while in charge, Nagelsmann won 60 of his 84 games, which translates to 71.4 percent.
He took over Bayern in July 2021 and went on to win one Bundesliga trophy and two German Super Cups.
On the other hand, Tuchel, 49, has been out of work since he parted ways with Chelsea in September. He has also worked with the French club PSG.
