The in-form forward reveals his ambition amid links to the Sea Robbers.
Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars striker Benson Omala has addressed rumours he is set to join South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Orlando Pirates.
Rumours have it that the in-form striker, who has scored 19 goals in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League so far – could move south.
However, in an engagement with his fans on Facebook, the striker affirmed that his main goal is to win the Premier League title for K’Ogalo.
"Can you consider an offer from Orlando Pirates of South Africa?" Ace Tshangana asked Omala.
Omala answered: "I have a goal to achieve, and that's helping my team [Gor Mahia] win the league. That's my focus for now."
Another fan, Peterson Calipsto, persisted and wanted the striker to affirm whether indeed he is planning to leave the Kenyan record champions.
"Are you leaving mighty K’Ogalo anytime soon, please?" Calipsto asked Omala.
"We are winning the league," Omala answered the concerned fan.
With his current form, the former Kisumu Day striker has been massively linked with a move as he continues to keep a healthy gap in the Golden Boot race.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have struggled to get a top striker, with head coach Jose Riveiro having to depend on Kermit Erasmus, Bievenu Eva Nga, and Monapule Saleng.
Their recent signing, Souaibou Marou, from Cameroon, is yet to settle in as the Sea Robbers lag behind in the title race.
Meanwhile, Omala’s focus is currently on international duty with Harambee Stars after he was called up by head coach Engin Firat for a friendly match during the FIFA international break.
The Gor Mahia striker expects to be in the final squad that will travel to Tehran for the Iran friendly on Tuesday, March 28.
