Who is Alfred Scriven?
Alfred Richard Scriven is a Kenyan-born Norwegian footballer who plays as a forward for Hodd. Hodd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in More og Romsdal in the Scandinavian nation.
Hodd are currently playing in OBOS-ligaen, Norway’s second division. They played in the top tier in 1966, 1969-1972, and 1995, and are the club that has played the most seasons in the second tier.
They won the Norwegian Cup in 2012.
Where did Scriven start his career?
The forward launched his career with Hallingdal FK before he was promoted to the senior team from the youth set-up.
With Hallingdal’s senior team, he made 57 appearances and scored 26 goals during his stay between 2015 and 2017.
Where else has Scriven played?
He then moved to Mjondalen – a club that was founded on August 22, 1910 – and played for them between 2018 and 2021. His stay with Mjondalen was not as successful as his time with Hallingdal, as he only managed to score three goals in 21 appearances.
Mjondalen sent him on two loan spells, first with Ullensaker/Kisa in 2019, where he found the back of the net three times in 14 games.
In 2020, he was loaned to Asker and scored five goals in 18 games.
He signed for Hodd in 2021 and has so far scored six goals in 16 games.
What next for Scriven?
With his maiden Harambee Stars call-up, the forward hopes to make it to the final squad.
Should he be selected, his main priority will be to impress Firat and his technical bench in order to retain his place for future games
However, he is set to face stiff competition from Michael Olunga and Benson Omala, who have had impressive seasons so far with Al Duhail SC and Gor Mahia, respectively.
