The Brewers chairman Gacheru gave the custodian the go-ahead to make the switch.
Kenya Police FC have confirmed the capture of Tusker FC goalkeeper Patrick Matasi from Tusker FC.
Police were one of the clubs interested in the 35-year-old goalkeeper, who rejoined the Brewers from Ethiopia Premier League side St George in August 2021.
Matasi was finally unveiled at the club on Tuesday in a short video posted on the club's social media pages.
The goalkeeper attracted interest from Tanzanian Premier League side Azam FC who have tried their luck several times for his signature, but the Police have finally ended all speculations.
Last year, Matasi had threatened to quit football after Police FC failed to agree on a deal with Tusker for the player whose contract was set to expire in August 2023.
He insisted that he had secured a permanent and pensionable job with the law enforcers and returned to training with Tusker after a two-month standoff.
The goal minder's last match on Tusker's colors was on February 26 against Posta Rangers, where they won by a solitary goal.
Matasi enjoyed an illustrious career playing for the likes of West Kenya Sugar, AFC Leopards, Posta Rangers before landing in Addis Ababa in 2018.
He made 56 appearances for the Horsemen in an ill-fated spell with the club, conceding 24 goals and being relegated to the bench in his last season.
Matasi won 26 caps for Kenya and in his prime was renowned as one of Africa's best goalkeepers.
