The round of 16 is set for April, the quarterfinals for May 20, 2023, and the semis for June 24, 2023. The winners will be crowned on July 2, 2023.
12 teams from the preliminary round have qualified for the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Cup Round of 32 scheduled for March 2, 2023.
The teams advanced after winning in their respective matches during the preliminary round held over the weekend.
MTG United and Macmillan Queens qualified after their 6-0 wins over Ocean D Ladies and Patriots Queens respectively. Kahawa Queens who played against Coast Starlets won 4-2 while Fortune Ladies secured a 2-0 win over Mukuru Talent.
In other matches played, University of Eldoret won 2-0 over Kakuma Kalobeyei as Young Bullets defeated Egerton FC 2-0.
Kapsabet Starlets on their part secured a 2-0 victory over Mount Kenya University. Kolwa Falcons beat Dero Divas 5-1. Gusii Starlets edged Migori Educational Centre 2-1 as Vicker Queens thrashed Bomet Starlets 3-0.
Meanwhile, the two best losers, Coast Starlets and Migori Educational Centre were also given a spot to participate in the event.
The FKF Women's Premier League clubs and the top five FKF Women Division One clubs from each zone in the league standings as of January 22, 2023, received byes and will join the preliminary round qualifiers in the draw.
