Kenyan men footballers plying their trade abroad suffered mixed results on Saturday.
Kenyan international Joash Onyango had a game to forget for Simba SC as he conceded a penalty in the 3-0 thumping against Raja Casablanca while Linton Maina featured for FC Koln in the 3-0 whitewash against Stuttgart.

The Kenyan midfielder was again trusted with a start as his FC Koln side suffered a 3-0 thumping at the hands of Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga.
Koln had a torrid start to the game as they went behind after only nine minutes when Gil Dias broke the game’s deadlock after Japanese midfielder Genki Haraguchi put the ball on a plate for him.
Stuttgart picked up from where they left off in the second half as they doubled their lead a minute before the hour mark with Borna Sosa getting his name on the scoresheet.
Tanguy Coulibaly took just a minute to announce himself on the pitch after coming on as a substitute to put the game beyond Koln with his first league goal of the season.
Maina was withdrawn in the 75th minute with Davie Selke coming on in his place as Stuttgart went on to collect the three massive points.

The Kenyan defender completed 90 minutes for Bristol City as they drew 1-1 with Sunderland in the English Football League (EFL) Championship.
After a long spell without finding the back of the net, Sunderland’s Jack Clarke finally broke the deadlock a minute before the hour mark after former Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt played in a neat through ball.
With Sunderland seemingly headed for three points, up stepped Nahki Wells to convert a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time to snatch a point for Bristol City.

Raja broke the deadlock at the stroke of the half-hour mark when Hamza Khabba sent the ball into the top corner with a shot just outside the 18-yard area.
The 2021 CAF Confederation Cup champions doubled their lead in the 82nd minute when Soufiane Benjdida beat the offside trap to slot the ball past Aishi Manula.
There was still time for the third as Joash Onyango brought down Yousri Bouzok inside the box with Ismail Mokadem stepping up to take the penalty and made no mistake in converting the penalty.
Simba are now anchored to the foot of Group C with no single point following a loss against Horoya in the season's opening match.
