The defender 'officially' left Batoto ba Mungu in October 2022.
Michael Kibwage has signed for Tusker FC on a free transfer, 16 months after he last played for Sofapaka FC.
The 25-year-old former KCB center-back has been out of the game since October 2022 after he terminated his contract with the club due to unpaid four months' salary.
As he searched for a new club, Kibwage was training with the Brewers since November last year, and now he has been given a one-year contract by the Ruaraka-based side.
"We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Mike Kibwage on a one-year deal," the club said in a statement.
The experienced center-back will strengthen our backline and will make his debut once the mid-season window officially opens at the end of the month."
Kibwage's last Football Kenya Federation Premier League match was on June 20, 2021, when Sofapaka lost 1-0 to Gor Mahia at the Thika Sub County Stadium.
The player had been embroiled in a payment row with the club after reports emerged that he was set to move to an un-named South Africa Premier Soccer League club.
Sofapaka demanded that the player get his release letter after returning the sign-on fee and money the club paid him when he left KCB.
Kibwage made his FKF Premier League debut with AFC Leopards in 2017 in a match against Tusker FC in 2017.
After just one season with Ingwe, the defender moved to KCB and debuted against Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu stadium in June 2019.
