The victory is the 11th of Paul's 12-fight career with his only defeat coming against boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury

Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson by unanimous decision as 58-year-old boxing legend lands just 18 punches in sad contest in Texas on Friday.

The victory is the 11th of Paul's 12-fight career with his only defeat coming against boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury.

The defeat against Paul was 'Iron' Mike's seventh on his professional record. The 58-year-old, competing for the 59th time, has lost his last three fights, albeit his most recent trip to the ring in a professional capacity prior to tonight was back in 2005.

Jake Paul, speaking on Netflix after the victory, said: "Mike Tyson, it's such an honour. Let's give it up for Mike, the greatest to ever do it."

The pair embraced each other after the fight with Paul terming Tyson an Icon who dominated the ring in his prime. "We wouldn't be here without him today with him, this man is an icon. It's just an honour to be able to fight him. It was a really tough fight. I expected it to be. He was exactly what I thought. One of the greatest to ever do it. An icon. I was trying to hurt him a little bit. I was scared he was going to hurt me. I did my best."

Tyson on his part added: "I am happy. I knew he was a good fighter. I knew he was prepared. I didn't prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I am just happy with what I can do."
