Daniel Dubois to face Anthony Joshua's former opponent
Anthony Joshua's former opponent Joseph Parker is set to fight against Daniel Dubois.
On February 22, Dubois will return to the ring and face former world champion Joseph Parker in Riyadh.
The heavyweight bout will be the co-headline act, with Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol's highly anticipated sequel taking center stage.
For the second time, the British fighter will be looking to successfully defend his IBF title.
Dubois was a major underdog in his fight against Anthony Joshua but he ended up dropping his heavyweight opponent four times before landing a spectacular knockout in the fifth round to keep his gold belt.
A date of February 22 was suggested by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh shortly after the bout, with His Excellency aiming for a rematch between the two British boxing greats.
Dubois is hopeful that the sequel will happen in the future, even though he would have to wait a bit longer to face Joshua again.
On December 21, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are scheduled to face each other in a rematch.
If Fury wins, it might also pave the way for a massive bout against fierce rival Anthony Joshua in 2025.
