Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn stated that even if Joshua won the world heavyweight championship on September 21, his focus is clearly on Dubois, and the only matchup he would desire after that is the Usyk-Fury winner.
Joshua was defeated by Usyk in 2021 and was unable to improve on his performance in a rematch the following year.

But after his initial defeat by Usyk, his training group has changed, and under new coach Ben Davison, he has found success.
Hearn is optimistic that in the third and final installment of a trilogy, Joshua will defeat Dubois and maybe even Usyk.
If Joshua wins his rematch with Usyk, he would almost certainly face his fierce foe Tyson Fury.
