Outspoken pugilist Karim Mandonga’s second heavyweight fight at the Moi International Sports Centre on Saturday has attracted the continent's biggest broadcaster.
Multi-Choice through its channels will beam the fight across Africa with viewers of different channels able to watch Mandonga Mtu Kazi take on his Ugandan opponent. The DSTV viewers – across all bouquets via DStv Channel 158 and GOtv Channel 4 - are set to be entertained as the much-anticipated fight will be beamed live.
Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) acting secretary-general Julius Odhiambo welcomed the initiative taken by the broadcasting company.
"All is set for the extravaganza that will feature seven bouts. We are glad that GOtv and DStv will relay the event live on both DStv and GOtv," said Odhiambo.
MultiChoice Kenya managing director Nancy Matimu explained why they decided to stream the event – popularly known as ‘Nairobi Fight Night Rumble - live from Kasarani at 7 pm.

Mandonga has been lined up to face Lukuyamuzi, as the Tanzanian will be making his return to the boxing ring as part of the main card of the inaugural Nairobi Fight Night.
The bout against Lukyamuzi will be his second Pro Boxing fight in Nairobi after the Tanzanian beat Kenyan Daniel Wanyonyi in the non-title fight.
