Veteran guard Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to extend their time together.
Westbrook, 34, averaged 15.9 points, 7.5 assists, and 5.9 rebounds during the regular season while shooting a respectable 48.9 percent from the field.
Westbrook returns to Clippers
According to ESPN's NBA expert Adrian Wojnarowski, the former MVP has signed a deal that includes a player option going into his second year with the Clippers and both parties are fairly comfortable with the agreement.
This deal brings an end to the supermax contract that saw the point guard's value decline rapidly, resulting in what became the worst contract in the NBA.

Westbrook played 11 years at Oklahoma City Thunder, before bouncing around the league with the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, and, the infamous spell with the Los Angeles Lakers.
