The UCU Lady Canons successfully completed a sweep against the KCCA Leopards on Friday, clinching a 93-66 victory in game two of their quarter-final matchup at the NCS Arena in Lugogo.

The UCU Lady Canons successfully completed a sweep against the KCCA Leopards on Friday, clinching a 93-66 victory in game two of their quarter-final matchup at the NCS Arena in Lugogo.

Tracy Namugosa was pivotal in the Lady Canons' win, pouring in 29 points, 15 of which were scored in the first quarter alone.

As defending champions, the Lady Canons are progressing into the semifinals for the eighth consecutive year, fully intent on defending their title.

Similarly, the JKL Lady Dolphins convincingly eliminated the A1 Challenge, the eighth seed, with a 68-38 victory in game two of their best-of-three series.

This victory tees them up for a highly anticipated finals rematch with the UCU Lady Canons, promising a thrilling encounter.

Power Forces a Decisive Game Three against the Canons

Dmark Power successfully levelled their quarter-final series by overcoming the UCU Canons 74-66 in the second game on Friday night at the NCS Arena in Lugogo.

Power established dominance early, securing a 21-9 lead after the first quarter. However, the Canons mounted a comeback in the second quarter, narrowing the deficit to 37-36 at halftime.

The third quarter became a pivotal period, with Dmark Power extending their lead to 61-41 as the Canons struggled to capitalise on their opportunities.

Despite the Canons’ valiant efforts to erase the 20-point deficit, the final score settled at 74-66, signalling a victory for Power.

Titans and Our Savior Punch Their Tickets to the Semifinals

The KIU Titans and Our Savior have secured their semifinal berths this season, eliminating the KCCA Panthers and the Ndejje Angels.

The Titans executed a series sweep against the Panthers, ending game two 92-79. Joel Lukoji led the charge with a game-high 22 points, positioning the Titans for a semifinal clash with the UCU Canons/Dmark Power series winner.

Our Savior also clinched their series victory against the Ndejje Angels with a 65-51 win in game three on Sunday.

Heading into their semifinal encounter against the eight-time defending champions, City Oilers, Our Savior are perceived as significant underdogs in the five-game series.
