Ndejje Angels have completed a National Basketball League double over the UCU Canons with a close 89-82 win at the YMCA Courts on Sunday.

Kok Makur Gol and Trevor Mutyaba both scored 20 points for the Ndejje Angels en route to their victory as Jonathan Oketch (11).

Joseph Kumbai(18), and James Obrack(15) also contributed to the firepower with double-digit points.

The UCU Canons also played a part in this enthralling game as Peter Sifuma led the Mukono-based side with a 17-point 21 rebound double.

Ekirapa Zachariah(12), Jerry Samson Kayanga(16) and Jimmy Otim also contributed in double-digit scoring for the UCU Canons but now fall to back-to-back defeats.

The second quarter was yet another achilles heel for the Canons as they lost the half by 24-10, similar to Friday night when they only scored nine points that time.

Victory for the Angels has ended a dreadful losing streak that stretches back to four games, except for a bye-win they got over the Kampala Rockets.

They face the JKL Dolphins next, who are also struggling on the wrong side of the table and will look to grab back-to-back victories for the first time since their first two fixtures this year.

It is more complex for the UCU Canons as they are scheduled to face the high-flying Namuwongo Blazers next in the National Basketball League.
