KIU Titans edged Our Savior, 78-77, in a classic National Basketball League game played at the YMCA courts on Sunday.

Saidi Amisi put on an offensive clinic for the University side as he posted 32 points and 13 rebounds in 36 minutes; he was a significant presence on both sides of the floor.

The Titans began brilliantly in the first two quarters, taking a 38-28 lead at halftime, and it looked like a win would be routine.

However, Our Savior stormed back in the third quarter, taking it 26-18 and tied the game at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Joseph Wacha and Henry Ssebagala scored 22 and 23 points, respectively for Our Savior as they stormed back but could not get over the line and cause the upset.

The victory takes Titans to third on the log, right behind the Namuwongo Blazers and table leaders, City Oilers.

Currently on a four-game winning run, the Titans will head into their next game against Rezlife Saints as clear favourites as they continue to build momentum towards the playoffs.

The defeat leaves Our Savior on a three-game losing streak and has lost five out of the last six games after an impressive run towards end the first round.

Their next game is against bottom-side Rezlife Saints, and they will look to snap that lousy run with a win.
