Joel Embiid was at hs dominant best to help the Philadelphia 76ers to a 118-109 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers and strengthen his case for MVP
Joel Embiid erupted for 36 points as Philadelphia defeated the Cavs to win their sixth straight game and tightened their grip on third place in the Eastern Conference.
Big night for Embiid
Embiid was totally dominant, 36 points on 12-for-19 shooting, 18 rebounds, four blocks, and still found the time to show some generosity with three assists.
The Cavs were without their best defender Jarred Allen so Evan Mobley was tasked with defending Embiid. The Sixers wasted no time in stamping his superiority, drawing a foul on each of the team's first two possessions and never looking back.
Embiid was dominant in the first quarter, recording 15 points and adding an impressive seven rebounds.
He continued his utter domination of Evan Mobley as the game went on including showing off his ability to shoot from beyond the arc.
