The Boston Celtics were booed off the floor by their own fans after a disappointing Game 5 collapse against the Joel Embiid-led Sixers.
The Celtics lost Game 5 of their second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers by a final score of 115-103 with Joel Embiid erupting for 33 points and 7 rebounds.
A result that now means Boston trails 3-2 in the series, facing a potential elimination.
After the loss, Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum, who finished with a team-high 36 points spoke to the media and offered an honest take on the players getting booed off the floor by their own fans
"You know, we’ve got booed before. So it’s not anything new, weird to say, but we’ve been in that position before and, you know, we didn’t play well. Fans could see it.”
The Celtics travel to Philadelphia for the all-important Game 6 on Thursday night.
