Week 16 of the National Basketball League served up some tasty fixtures and action that left fans at the edge of their seats.
As the season takes its final turn, here are the outstanding player of the week in the men's league.
Guard: Gideon Kasasa (Kampala Rockets)

Despite suffering a close 72-65 defeat against the KCCA Panthers on Wednesday night, the Kampala Rockets were able to bounce back to winning ways over the JKL Dolphins, 80-71 over the weekend.
Gideon Kasasa led the way for the Rockets scoring 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists which played a massive role in securing the win for his side.
Kasasa is currently averaging nine points per game, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists points for his side, occupying ninth place in the table.
Guard: Blair Wadaya (Namuwongo Blazers)

Blair Wadaya put on a show in his side's 76-42 blowout win over the KCCA Panthers on Sunday evening, helping his side to an eighth straight win in the league.
Wadaya scored 18 points, nine rebounds and one assist in their victory after also excelling in their victory over the UCU Canons on Friday.
Significant playing time has increased; he averages 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 14 minutes per game.
Forward: Andrew Gang (UPDF Tomahawks)

The UPDF Tomahawks finally snapped their four-game losing streak against the UCU Canons with a 57-53 closely fought win.
Recently returning from national team duty, Andrew Gang led the charge for the Tomahawks with an impressive 11-point 11 rebound double.
The forward is currently averaging 8.2 points, 6.3 and 1.5 assists per game for his side, as they are currently in eighth place with an 8-12 record.
Forward: Peter Cheng (Namuwongo Blazers)

Currently averaging a league-high 18 points per game, Peter Cheng is firmly in the race for Most Valuable Player when the regular season concludes.
Cheng was scintillating best in the wins against the UCU Canons(66-47) and KCCA Panthers(76-42).
Cheng averaged 19 points to go with ten rebounds in both games, which keeps the Blazers in pole position as they are left with two fixtures on their schedule.
Centre: Titus Lual (City Oilers)

Another player in solid contention for the Most Valuable Player accolade is Lual, who has become the go-to player for the eight-time defending champions.
Going unbeaten in the regular season becomes more of a possibility for the City Oilers.
Lual was at his best as the Oilers swept aside Dmark Power, 85-55, in their latest game over the weekend with a 23-point, 14-rebound double-double.
He is currently averaging 14.5 points,11.1 rebounds 1.8 assists per game for the all-conquering Oilers, who are favourites for a ninth-straight championship
