Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell connected with boyfriend Robbie Springfield in a humorous conversation as she picks up pace for 2025.

Fresh off her historic Olympic gold medal in the 100m hurdles, Masai Russell is back in training and setting her sights on an action-packed 2025 season.

However, the American sprint hurdler recently took a moment to share a lighter side of her life, highlighting the humorous dynamic with her boyfriend, Robbie Springfield.

In a candid training video, Russell gave fans a glimpse into their playful relationship during a video call.

“He always playing,” Russell said with a smile. “I keep telling everybody, if y’all didn’t know Robbie, I swear you wouldn't think that he likes me, bro. He always playing a little too much.”

The exchange began when Russell greeted Springfield with a cheerful "Good morning" during their call.

His mock-serious reply, asking what she was laughing at “angrily,” left the Olympic champion amused, offering fans a peek into their lighthearted banter.

While Russell’s humor shines off the track, her focus remains razor-sharp as she intensifies her training.

After turning professional in 2024 and clinching Olympic gold in Paris, she’s determined to build on that success in the upcoming season.

Reflecting on the recent training day, Russell highlighted the importance of persistence, even in challenging conditions.

“Y’all, it was a really good day,” she shared. “I got better, and I came [to train] when I didn’t want to. It’s very gloomy and rainy outside, but that’s when the work matters most. When you don’t want to (train), you feel super accomplished after the fact.”

Russell’s remarkable Olympic debut was just the beginning of her journey. With the 2025 season on the horizon, she’s ready to capitalize on her momentum and chase even more milestones.
