Blake has assured himself by sending an inspirational message ahead of daunting Xiamen Diamond League challenger.

Jamaican sprint icon Yohan Blake has sent an inspirational message to everyone as he finalises his preparations for the start of his outdoor season in the Xiamen Diamond League classic.

Blake, a two-time Olympic champion, has not found the going easy in recent seasons. Although he has carved a relatively successful career for himself, in which he the second fastest man ever in both 100 m and 200 m, he has struggled big time in his last three major global events, failing to medal at the last Olympics and last three World Championships.

Yet, at 35 years old, Blake remains undeterred. With his sights set on the Paris 2024 Olympics, he's determined to push through and regain his competitive edge this season.

"Remember, be a go-getter. Always aim high," Blake shared on his TikTok account. "Every day, I put my cup where I can't reach. In life, we grow, and we have to reach it someday."

Blake's words carry a weight of resilience and determination, reflecting his own journey of striving for greatness despite the odds. He acknowledges the uncertainties and challenges many face in their daily lives but emphasizes the importance of trusting in oneself and pushing beyond limits.

"Push yourself," he urges. "Every day, I do that. I vomit on myself, but I know what I want. Do you?"

His message serves as a rallying cry for all individuals striving for their dreams, reminding them to embrace the discomfort of growth and to relentlessly pursue their aspirations.

As Blake prepares to grace the track once again, his words resonate beyond athletics, inspiring all to chase their goals with unwavering determination and faith in their abilities.

The men’s 100m at the event which will take place on April 20,2024  will feature a clash between sprint superpowers USA and Jamaica, with past world 100m champions Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman leading the United States' charge.

They will be keen to get one over Blake and his namesake, world indoor bronze medallist Ackeem Blake and 2023 Jamaican champion Rohan Watson.
