NBA Africa to undertake monumental basketball project in Kenya and Africa
The non-profit organisation alongside Opportunity International is looking to carry out a decade-long project in Kenya and Africa aimed at nurturing basketball on the continent.
"Training isn't just times on the track, it's about pushing beyond limits and improving every day. It's all about preparation ,work, focus and the right mindset," shared Were on his Instagram account.
"The road to Tokyo is heating up, and I'm ready to give it my all," he assured.
The 400m hurdler sprinter has participated in several international events, including the World Championships in Budapest in 2023, the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022 where he secured a podium finish, and the Africa Athletics Championships in Mauritius in 2022.
