Oblique Seville’s coach Glen Mills has exuded confidence ahead of the epic men’s 100m clash at the Paris Olympic Games.
Mills, who guided Usain Bolt to two world records (100m and 200m) and multiple world and Olympic titles, explained that the youngster had suffered injury setback after the Jamaican Olympic trials but has been bouncing back slowly.
At the trials, he won the preliminaries and semifinal before finishing second behind Kishane Thompson in the men’s 100m final. His injury forced him to miss a lot of training sessions but Mills is confident that the star athlete will be ready by August 3, as he steps foot on the track for the preliminaries.

Oblique Seville has opened up about the relationship he shares with fellow sprinter Kishane Thompson as they chase Jamaican glory at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
After his injury, Seville travelled to Germany to see Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, one of the best orthopedics who has worked with sports stars including Bolt, and Bayern Munich footballers.
“He didn’t do badly but he is highly motivated and so we will see how it goes. We are running against time but we will do the best we can,” Mills told Jamaica Observer.
“He has been in Germany for over a week, being treated, and so we are just starting to get him back up to the level where he was,” he added.

He is slowly recuperating and did his first major training session on Monday last week and his coach admitted that there were notable changes.
“Monday was the first day that we did that kind of explosive running, because the truth is that he got hurt in the final of the national trials and he was not able to train for a while,” Mills added.
At the Paris Olympic Games, Seville will be out to shed the fourth-place finisher tag after last year’s World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
