The Paris Olympic Games will be a gathering of galaxy of stars, of which a music goddess has promised to be in the city of lights just to watch the world's fastest woman Sha'Carri Richardson.

World champion Sha'Carri Richardson has several fans in all spheres of life, so it's no surprise rap queen Cardi B is an admirer of the speedster and has promised to be at the Paris Olympic Games just to watch her compete.

In a new NBC promotional video for the Paris Olympic Games, the American track star and rapper bonded over their excitement for the upcoming event while indulging in one of their favorite self-care activities — manicures.

As the duo met for the first time to film the segment, airing May 4 during NBC's broadcast of the Kentucky Derby, the "Up" rapper asked the Olympic hopeful questions that non-athletes want to know about what it takes to qualify to be on the world's biggest stage in sports.

"A 9-to-5 in corporate is my 9-to-5 on the track working out," said Richardson when asked to explain her training schedule, explaining that she trains five days per week, with two days off.

"It's worth the hard work, it's worth the sacrifices. In those moments, it shows that this is why I do what I do."

Richardson earned the bragging rights of the world's fastest woman after winning the 100m title in a record of 10.65s at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.

Her magnificent comeback last season was a testament to her hard work since 2021 when she qualified for her first Olympic appearance in Tokyo after winning the US 100m title. However, it was discovered later on that she used the prohibited substance marijuana, which led to her suspension for a month and miss the games.

Knowing she has a second chance at competing in the most prestigious sporting meet this season, the American track star revealed nothing will stop her from being in Paris.

"I have no plans of letting life, adversity, any obstacle [stop] me from being in Paris."

"Paris is like one of my favorite places in the world," replied Cardi B, adding that "when the Olympics is in a lit city, it changes the mood." The track star agreed saying: "I feel like the fun is gonna be restored."

Richardson will have to make the US Olympic team for the spotlight of racing in Paris, of which she'll be one of the favourites to win the 100m title.

She then invited the performer to come watch her race in the French city.

"I will come just for you...and shopping," Cardi B promised at the end of the video.

With so much to look forward to ahead of the Olympic Games, Richardson will be gunning to not just be a part of the American team, but also aim for the title or at least a medal, thereby upsetting the Jamaican domination again to prove her 2023 season was no fluke.
