World 5000m bronze medallist Beatrice Chebet has opened up on what it will mean to her if she wins the Olympic gold medal at this year’s Olympic Games scheduled for later this year in Paris, France.
In a post-race interview after dominating the National Police Cross-country Championships, Chebet noted that it would be good to earn an Olympic gold medal since it is the one missing in her trophy-laden cabinet.

Beatrice Chebet has continued her winning streak while Daniel Simiu shut down the field with a win at the National Police Cross-country Championships held at the Ngong race course.
“Winning a gold medal at the Olympic Games will give me a good profile because so far, I have gold medals in the junior category and the cross country.
"My main aim this season is to win that gold medal because it will help build my career,” the former World 5000m silver medallist said.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old has been in the form of her life since breaking the 5km world record in Barcelona on the eve of New Year.
