The 2023 Wanda Diamond League third leg heads to Florence, Italy, and will see some of the greatest track and field stars go head-to-head with an aim to stamp authority.

The women’s 1500m will be a memorable one with the two-time world and Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon clashing with the Scottish Ironwoman Laura Muir.

The men’s 100m will also prove to be a thriller with Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala looking for redemption after the heartbreak at the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat. He will be taking on familiar foes he was with in Rabat with world 100m silver medallist Marvin Bracy added to the stellar cast.

The action will start at 7:30 pm East African Time with the women's discus and the main programme will kick off at 9:00 pm with the women's 400m hurdles. Omanyala’s race is scheduled for 11:40 pm while Kipyegon is scheduled to run at 11:50 pm EAT.

The meeting will be streamed in a number of territories on the Wanda Diamond League YouTube page from 9:00 pm EAT. The live stream will, however, not be available in all territories.

The event will also be broadcast live on SuperSport Variety 4, channel 209 on DSTV in a number of African English-speaking countries including Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and South Africa.
