“I’m now focusing on the Olympics because I want a medal but I don’t know the medal I want, whether gold or silver or bronze. I aim to go for the medal," she said.
“Now we are going back for training and we want to do full training until the Olympics…maybe some Diamond Leagues in between at least to keep the muscles ready for the Olympics. Per week, I run 160km or 150km.”
If she goes back to run the Adidas Adizero Road to Records, Ngetich admitted that she would put in more effort and give her level best to shatter the record.
However, she insisted on being content with the time she ran and promised to make a better comeback next year if invited to the event.
“If I would go back…I’ll push again and get the record because I want it and I will dig deep to go for it. Training has been good and the season has been long since I started with Valencia but I want to run well so I have to give my all,” she added.
