The women-only track and field meet offers the biggest prize money.

Paris Olympics 100m hurdles Gold medalist Masai Russell has welcomed an invitation from Alexis Ohanian to be part of the 2025 Athlos event.

The 24-year-old was part of the 36-women's only inaugural edition of the event that was held in September, in Icahn Stadium, United States.

Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, husband to American former decorated tennis player Serena Williams, organised the Athlos, a first-of-its-kind all-women's track and field meet that offered the biggest prize purse in track and field.

The prestigious competition has been granted silver status by World Athletics, meaning all 36 competitors could earn ranking points for their world standing. With less than two months  left before 2025, Ohanian is already planning ahead of next year's showpiece.

"I've got your invitation to ATHLOS 2025 printed and hand-signed!! @masai_russell," he posted on X, formerly Twitter. Masai Russell, who boasts a PB of 12.25 seconds in 100m hurdles she registered during the 2024 US Paris Olympics trials, replied to Ohanian's invite saying, "What an honor, thank you always."

Russell previously expressed her satisfaction saying that the Athlos brought relief to athletes post-Olympics. She maintained that the event was meant to make people understand that track and field events exist beyond the Olympic Games.
