Tara and Hunter Woodhall won gold in Olympic and Paralympic respectively and the couple have been on the headlines since then.

Paris Olympic long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall has revealed her admiration and the iron will her husband displayed before Hunter went on to win Paralympic gold in Paris.

American Hunter Woodhall stormed to victory in the T62 400m at the Paralympics in Paris, September, a month after his wife Tara won Olympic long jump gold.

Hunter won in 46.36 seconds at the Stade de France, ahead of world record holder Johannes Floors of Germany and Olivier Hendriks of the Netherlands. The 25-year-old celebrated by hugging Tara, who was watching in the crowd, in a role reversal of the celebrations when she took gold in August at the same venue.

Tara said although she was nervous, she felt Hunter had what it takes to clinch gold going by his preparation. "I was so nervous. I was so pumped knowing he was ready to run and how much he wanted to win," Tara told BBC.

"It was a dream for us to both win gold. We'll be wearing these golds for the rest of our lives," she added.

Tara won a silver medal at the 2023 World Championships. In 2017, she set the American junior women's record in the indoor long jump, and placed 6th in the women's long jump final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The pair attended each other's Olympic and Paralympic trials, created videos for their social media accounts while training, and even manifested their individual success in same format ahead of their finals at Paris 2024.
