Multiple Olympics champion Gabby Thomas had laid bare details of her dressing room surprise visit to WNBA star Caitlin Clark alongside artistic gymnastics champion Simon Biles.

Paris Olympics three-time gold medalist Gabby Thomas has disclosed how she executed a good strategy with artistic gymnast Simone Biles to surprise WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Clark, who was named Rookie of the Year, received a pleasant surprise in August when the multiple Olympics winners paid her a visit to the dressing room after she featured for her team Indiana Fever in a WNBA game against Connecticut Sun, which they won 84-80, in the regular season.

The two Olympians were riding high after their exploits at the Paris 2024 Olympics where Thomas won the 200m title as well as 4x100m and 4x400m relay gold medals while Biles clinched three gold medals and a silver.

Thomas and Biles attended the match but then decided to pay a visit to Clark to offer support and encouragement, a gesture that left the WNBA star and her team-mates in awe, and the sprinter has now shared how they ensured the surprise was a success.

"We were hiding next to their locker room and waiting for them to run out. The entire team was floored and Caitlin was so shocked. It's so fun to see the support and excitement that athletes have for one another,” Thomas told NBC.

Biles, meanwhile, was thrilled to have attended her first WNBA game and expressed her excitement through a social media post.

“EVERYONE WATCHES WOMEN’S SPORTS. So happy to be able to go support! my first of many WNBA games,” she posted on X.

Clark’s Fever reached the WNBA playoffs, for the first time in six years, with the star guard named WNBA Rookie of the Year.
