Sha'Carri Richardson ran with an untied shoelace and still won in a blazing 10.88s at the US Olympic Trials.
In an unbelievable run at the US Olympic trials, Sha'Carri Richardson stormed to the 100m semifinals by winning her heat with an untied shoelace.
The world's fastest woman gave a huge scare when she stumbled at the start and almost ran into the runner beside her, but she regrouped nicely to run down the field and even slowed down before the finish line to win in a blistering 10.88s.
Tamari Davis with a perfect start and execution settled for the second position in 11.01s, while Tamara Clark was third in 11.05s.
Following her victory, the track star was seen immediately tying her shoelace, which showed she ran all through without one of her spike shoes being perfectly tied.
Richardson's time was the fastest across all heats as her training mate and 2022 US champion Melissa Jefferson clocked the second-fastest time of 10.91s to win her heat, while NCAA Champion Mckenzie Long was the third-fastest of 10.94s.

With an unbelievable finish despite having a poor start and running with one untied running spikes, it's suggested that the world 100m champion is in 10.6s shape, which further strengthens her position as the outright favourite to defend her title.
Richardson will be gunning to avoid another scare in the semifinals as well as lower her time to make the final, where she will give everything it takes to make the US Olympic team to Paris.
