He is not playing this season and he has already set a blueprint on how he plans to achieve his lofty ambitions.

“This year, I have prepared well and I am ready to rumble…I will start with the World Indoor Championships and then hopefully proceed to the All-African Games and then for the Olympics we shall plan,” Keter told Pulse Sports.

As he heads to the World Indoor Championships this year, his mind is set on bagging the gold medal, now that he is well prepared.

During the second Athletics Kenya meet at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Keter finished second in the men’s 1500m. After the race, he explained that his body was responding well and he was hopeful of what the season had in store for him.

Keter led from gun to around 50m to the finish line where his opponent outsmarted him and took the top prize.

“I can’t run from behind in the races and I am always forced to run at the front. I haven’t missed any AK meetings since the season started late last year,” Keter said.
