Last week was interesting, having some of Nigeria's best produce brilliant marks while others smashed their lifetime best, from college athletes to professional ones.

Usoro records windy No.1 mark in the world
Ruth Usoro picked up from where she left off her fantastic indoor season as she soared to a brilliant distance of 6.82m (2.5m/s) for victory in the women's long jump at the Miramar Invitational on Saturday.
The mark would have been the No.1 distance in the world this year but for the excessive wind reading. However, it still stands as the best mark in all conditions.
Meanwhile, Pulse Sports reported in the indoor season when Usoro leaped a massive Personal Best (PB) and then a world-leading distance of 6.87m to win the women's long jump final. She's one to watch out for this year, ready to shock the world.

Brume falls short of a new PB by 0.01s
Godson Brume came close to breaking his 100m PB of 10.12s, after clocking 10.13s (1.5m/s) to win the men's 100m at the Lloyd Wills Invitational.
The Louisiana State University (LSU) sophomore was an NCAA indoor finalist and is in the form of his life to run fantastic times this season.
Meanwhile, his teammate Ella Onojuvwevwo smashed her 400m PB with a brilliant time of 52.52s to win the women's event. The youngster is also a big bet to go sub-52s this year.
Onyekwere with an impressive early season mark
Competing against some of the best Discus throwers in the world, Chioma Onyekwere threw a massive Season Best mark of 60.79m to finish sixth in the women's Discus throw at the Triton Invitational on Friday.
The Commonwealth Champion will be aiming to improve on this mark ahead of the World Championships in Budapest this Summer.

Other results with brilliant performances from Awusa and Jakpa
New Mexico Junior College standout hurdler Ese Awusa clocked a new PB of 13.40s (1.2) to win the women's 100m Hurdles at the Jo Meaker Classic in Texas.
While Jerry Jakpa of West Texas A&M raced to an SB of 20.78s to win his 200m heat at the same meet. Jakpa finished second fastest overall and clocked another SB of 10.36s in the 100m.

Tima Godbless spearheads a massive list of invited U18 and U20 athletes to camp by the AFN
The AFN has invited over 50 athletes to the National U18 and U20 camp in Abuja, ahead of the African U18 and U20 championships in Zambia.
Also in action was Miracle Thompson, with a windy 13.50s in the women's 100m Hurdles at the Woodman Classic.
At the UNM Spring Invite, New Mexico University junior Victor Akhalu clocked two new PBs in the 100m and 200m, stopping the clock at 10.41s and 21.18s to finish fourth and third in the events respectively.
