Ruth Usoro, Alaba Akintola, and Sade Olatoye gave impressive performances, recording Season's Best marks.
Nigeria's trio of Ruth Usoro, Alaba Akintola, and Sade Olatoye recorded impressive Season's Best (SB) marks in their various meets on Saturday (April 29th).
Usoro, on her last jump, leaped a distance of 14.12m (0.5) to win the women's triple jump event at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout in Lubbock, Texas. More gratifying is that the mark shoots her to third on the world's Top list.
The Texas Tech University alumni also competed in the 100m, winning her heat in a brilliant time of 11.36s (2.9). It would have been a huge lifetime best but for the excessive wind reading.

OPINION Ruth Usoro rising through the ranks as one of Africa's best jumpers in history
Ruth Usoro is just getting to the peak of her career, so still has a lot to offer and be in the game for many years. She may not be there yet, but she's steadily rising through the ranks of being one of Africa's best jumpers in history.
Usoro, who doubles in the long jump, had earlier in the season soared to a brilliant distance of 6.82m (2.5m/s) at the Miramar Invitational.
Akintola goes sub-10.10s in Nashville
One of Nigeria's speed kings Alaba Akintola, went under the sub-10.10s mark for the first time this season with an impressive 10.08s (1.0) to win the men's 100m at the Outdoor Music City Challenge in Nashville.
It's an impressive drop from the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) star athlete, whose previous times this season were 10.21s, 10.14s, and 10.21s, all in April.
Olatoye stays consistent in the hammer throw
Sade Olatoye has been one consistent athlete this season, improving every time she competes at any meet.
At the Music City Challenge in Nashville, the African champion improved on her SB with 69.33m to win the event. The mark significantly bettered her previous best of 69.15m thrown in March and very close to her lifetime best of 69.89m.
