Talented sprint star Kenny Bednarek had one of the best seasons of a sprinter this year, one which saw him surpass and threaten Usain Bolt's 200m records.

Following a fantastic 2024 season, a recent stat reveals that double Olympic 200m silver medallist Kenny Bednarek is close to breaking one of Usain Bolt's poignant records.

The American speedster had an outstanding year, highlighted by winning the Olympic 200m silver medal in Paris, his second consecutive medal at the Games in the event. He then capped off his season with a brilliant victory over Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo in the Brussels Diamond League final and clocked a personal best of 19.57s at the Zurich Diamond League.

This year, he put in one of the greatest 200m seasons, going up there and surpassing the legendary Bolt. Bednarek moved up to No. 3 on the ranking of the most sub-20s clockings in history.
