American sprint queen Sha'Carri Richardson has opened up about why she prefers to remain silent on certain topic online.
Richardson went into the Olympic Games hoping to claim her first individual gold medal. While she was favoured to win the 100m event, Santa Lucia’s Julien Alfred took the world by surprise and claimed the top spot and her country’s first gold.

'...that is what resonates with me' - Sha'Carri Richardson on how legendary late sprinter 'Flo-Jo' influenced her style
Richardson has never been one to shy away from expressing her style, but she was heavily influenced by two retired athletes, Gail Devers and Florence Griffith-Joyner.
Since the Olympics, she has been sprinting from one track meet to another and avenged her loss to Alfred with a win at the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich. She ended her season with an eighth-place finish at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels.
Outside of the track, Richardson has also collaborated with several brands, including Nike’s NOCTA line, a sub-label created by Drake in 2020.
Her unique style has also caught the eye of fashion magazines, and she has graced the covers of Essence and Vogue. The sprint star has used her platform to highlight her struggles with mental health and openly speaks about going to therapy.
