Cheruiyot then finished 11th at the Paris Olympic Games before maintaining the same position at the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich.
He then won the 1500m at the Grand Prix Lombardia - Brescia 2024 and then capped off his season at the Diamond League Meeting final in Brussels with a second-place finish.
“This season I wasn’t supposed to run due to the injuries…both my knees were having a tendon tear so I went to the hospital for a scan and treatment and I’m happy I raced this year. I run well…I didn’t win some races but that’s okay because I was second or third. I finally made it to the Olympics too,” Timothy Cheruiyot said in an interview.
