World Athletics has announced how fans can apply for a free VIP trip to the World Indoor Championships next month.

World Athletics have announced how track and field fans can win a free VIP trip to the World Indoor Championships scheduled for Friday, March 1 to Sunday, March 3 in Glasgow, Scotland.

They attached a sign-up link on their website to enter the draw for the fan VIP trip. The competition closes at 7 pm EAT on Monday, February 19, 2024. The winner will be contacted via email after the closing date.

The competition is free of charge to enter and is entered via the World Athletics website or official World Athletics email communication.

Entrants aged under 18, if a winner, will need to confirm their parent/legal guardian consent to accept the Prize and be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian and winners will be subject to verification of their eligibility to enter (including carrying out a background check).

World Athletics further noted that the entrants must be available to travel to arrive in Glasgow on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and depart on Monday, February 4. Entries from individuals or their families of World Athletics the Athletics Integrity Unit and Staff and Officials or its Commercial Partners are not accepted and are automatically void.

To win the prize, the winner will be selected by a random draw. The prize includes economy flights, airport transfers from Glasgow to the hotel, and a minimum of 3-star (bed & breakfast) accommodation for the four days the winner will be in Glasgow.

There will also be a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium and a meet and greet with the athlete ambassador(s) at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24.

World Athletics emphasised that all the other expenses are not covered and winners are responsible for their own visa and entry arrangements to Glasgow, United Kingdom (including all health and safety protocols, and all applicable laws and policies of federal, state, city, and local authorities.

There is no prize alternative and the prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash, goods, or services. The winner will be selected randomly by an independent third party.

The winner shall be contacted from February 19, 2024. The winner and guest will be required to confirm and provide proof of their age/identity and be available to travel to Glasgow between Thursday 29 February and Monday, March 4. Winners must ensure they have a valid passport and ensure they meet entry requirements for the UK.

The winner of the Competition will be permitted to communicate their selection/win on social media only after the announcements have been made officially by World Athletics on one of its official channels.
