Lyles opened his season with an indoor campaign that saw him claim the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. From his indoor races, Lyles earned $ 28,000.

He then kickstarted his outdoor campaign at the Tom Jones Memorial before winning the 100m at the Bermuda Grand Prix where he earned $1600. The three-time world 200m champion was not done making waves as he proceeded to claim the win at the World Athletics Relays where he earned $10,000.

At the Racers Grand Prix, Lyles finished second and walked away with $1200 before winning the USATF New York City Grand Prix where he earned $5000. After claiming the 100m and 200m titles, the 27-year-old claimed $11,000 for each race.
Before the Paris Olympic Games, the American sprint king proceeded to win the Diamond League Meeting in London and earn $10,000. For winning the 100m Olympic title and the 200m bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games, Lyles pocketed $50,000. However, Lyles’ prize money breakdown does not include the bonus fees or appearance fees.
